Mar 24, 2020 - I wanted to design a small, toy car that could be easily built with simple materials.  Simplicity was my goal for this toy, so I ditched the common joints and pivots for... paper.  A bit skeptical of this idea myself, I tried it out and it worked!  

 

The paper steering assembly actually has many benefits over orthodox steering assemblies (for this size car); with the right paper they are more durable, easier to repair, and automatically return to center - just like a real car!

Other features include a detachable steering wheel for ease of transport, paper clip axles, Ackermann steering (outside wheel turns less than inside wheel), and PLA plastic wheels!

The whole car measures just 4cm by 4cm, so go 3D print your own!
